Individual Counseling
Using cognitive-behavioral strategies
Cognitive behavioral therapy is a widely used therapeutic approach that allows for collaboration between one's thoughts, behaviors, and emotions. In therapy, we discuss the purpose that our behaviors serve (and how our negative behaviors are actually being sustained). Insight tends to occur over time with the goal being a more productive behavior. Eventually, the new behaviors are well-received by those around us, leading to more positive feelings and thoughts.
