Family-Focused Therapy
Generally sought after in order to obtain "change" in the family system, family therapy looks at the interactions between family members and the level of perceived conflict. Family members are encouraged to be an active part of their solution to crises or identified problems. Behaviors that are exposed which are considered damaging to the family are titrated over time using techniques such as behavior modification, shaping & molding, and eventual extinction with various forms of conditioning.

I am a strong believer in utilizing reinforcement to increase the production of positive behaviors. That being said, in session we identify discipline and punishment styles that may or may not be working; in an effort to put a more positive spin on the modification of the identified behavior.
